Eastern Finals
Isles 4
Habs 3
After battling hard to get past both the Hurricanes and then Columbus, whom both took the Isles to 6 games, New York was to have their toughest test in the well-rounded Habs and all they did was bounce them in 5 games! As has been highlighted all playoffs long if you play New York even then you are losing and numerous times thru the first 2 rounds it didn't matter whether or not you dominated, if Vasilevskiy was in goal you still may lose. Tonight was no exception as once again a very even game that could have gone either way went to GM Joe, A. Vasilevskiy, and his Islanders. Montreal had a decent first period and exited with a 1-0 lead but simply could not get any separation and when the Isles scored to tie it, Montreal would not see another lead for the rest of the game! With the win New York gets a rest and awaits the Western winner. Congrats to GM Blue Balls on making the finals!
