In what has to be considered a shocking move, GM Bast over-ruled the coaching staff and insisted on his guy J.Quick getting the start despite obvious fatigue. Quick rewarded his GM by playing an outstanding game stopping 41 shots for the win but has he played his last game? Immediately following the game Quick was taken aside for an I.V. and did not meet with reporters. GM Bast was asked about his goalies status going forward but the only responses given were to discuss the team play for the evening and moving forward. One would have to assume based solely on optics that Quick is out for the playoffs unless Vegas moves on and may even miss Game 1 of the next round. As Quick has all 3 wins thus far against the Oilers they have to be feeling pretty confident that they have likely knocked their nemesis out. Another Game 7 for Vegas heading home. Series tied at 3
